Daily intelligence report - Through Aeroplan Eyes
 

Seems that's how the world outside our's, that of the frequent flyer, now sees Canadian Plus members.

A few months ago, I submitted a request for CP points, to CP and Starwood, for a stay at a Sheraton last October. Today, I got a letter back from Starwood, stating that I was not eligible to receive Air Canada Aeroplan points for this stay, as I only paid the weekend rate.

Given that the word Aeroplan has never previously appeared in any Starwood propaganda, nor has it ever been associated with Starwood, I think it's safe to say that AC is making arrangements for the melding of Aeroplan and Canadian Plus while we sleep.

Aeroplan still doesn't show up on Starwood's web page, and Canadian Plus is still there. But it's the old "motion mark" logo, so who knows how often they update it.
