Fisch,

I've always been able to confirm an upgrade YOW-YVR. For this Sunday (with only 36 business class seats instead of 60), they said I could standby at the airport. And YVR-LAX is completely sold out in J. (Of course there are often no-shows, and I've only once gotten a confirmed upgrade, that on on a 7am LAX-YVR).

It's Saturday afternoon, and I have just checked in for CP933 YYZ-YVR. This Lounge is so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice. AC has what, 4 computers with internet access in the YYZ domestic lounge. The Empress domestic 9 on the upper level, and I gather more in the business centre below! The furnature is also very very nice. They seem to not have quite the selection of booze that MLLs have, but it will do just fine!

I'm very much looking forward to the flight. I'll report on the flight later in Trip Reports
