Uhhh... I don't think I'd try it. Aside from the ethical implications, res systems are quite sophisticated at detecting these type of activity patterns. I know of one case where someone tried this (with CP, BTW) and shortly thereafter found all their connections with CP's web page were being monitored. (The secure link kept popping up messages, or something like that. I didn't get the exact details.) I would imagine that if CP detected this activity, they would likely consider it an abuse of their FF program, and your account, points, and ability to get upgrades would quickly "evaporate."
Besides, on YYZ-YVR, upgrades are fairly easy to get, especially since there are 8 or 10 non-stops a day, and more if you count the connecting flights. Ken H |
