Look at any of the bidding sites - 4* hotels in DT Toronto are all well-located and are a great value on Priceline's opaque site. If you don't mind being at a gay-oriented place, the Gloucester Square properties are elegant and well-located.

Westin Harbour Castle was fantastic place. Really a lovely property, good location, good staff, nice bar, all at a good price.

Westin Prince was nice on the ground floor/lounge/bar, but the rooms and the property itself were pretty tired. Real tired. Decent suburbia location, cheap rate for points.

Westin Prince just completed a major remodel of the public spaces, and is much improved. Guest rooms are standard Westin fare, nothing special. This is great location if you have business in Don Valley or Markham area, but for seeing the sites, I would recommend WHC.
