Oneway car rentals in ONT/QUE?

Does anyone know which car rental company that allows a oneway drop off without the drop off fee between Toronto and Montreal? If not, then its a drop off at Ottawa.

I thought National offers that, (and speaking of which, the miles that go to Aeroplan take ions to be credited). but it has no unlimited mileage and the daily rental rate goes up to something like $100 a day!~

Thx

Your request has too many variables to answer here easily (ie. date of travel, car class, &c) It makes most sense to just go to the various company sites and see what is offered.

Try Avis. They usually have an one way unlimited mileage rate that is only about $25-$30 a day higher than the normal rate. At least at YUL, I've found them to be the most customer friendly.

One ways between YUL-YYZ are not uncommon and most of the majors are corporate facilities. Indeed, I periodically get an Ontario plated vehicle for a local YUL rental.

I have also found AVIS to be the most favourable for one-way rentals that are reasonable.

I tried AVIS but somehow there doesn't seem to be a single car available for the dates that I want. ie Oct 6-10. From anywhere in Toronto to Ottawa, or Montreal. Does anyone know why?

Hi, I had a quick look, and it appears that autoeurope.com has some nice prepayed deals. They may say there is a huge drop off fee, but it is worth a shot. For what it is worth, I got this:

Chevy Cobalt 4 door with ac or similar Compact, Automatic

Rate: 260.00 USD Inclusive

Gold Rate - Includes 3 additional drivers and tank of fuel

Pick-Up Details:
Toronto, Canada
6 Oct 2008 @ 10:00
Toronto Airport Drop-Off Details:
Montreal, Canada
10 Oct 2008 @ 10:00
Montreal Int'l Airport

Please Note: Certain restrictions may apply when picking up and dropping off at different locations, including additional fees. If fees apply, we will contact you to advise you of these fees, and will not confirm your rental until you have provided payment information and accepted these fees. If fees do not apply and you have provided payment information, we will confirm your booking and send you a confirmation voucher.
