just dropped by there on Sunday afternoon and they have nothing at all. Was told that they were doing inventory and perhaps would not order anything until the end of January.

Calgary is a rather small cowtown, not a lot choices.

I find Calgary to be one of the best cities in Canada when it comes to wine, a much broader range of good labels and vintages. With the privatization of the liqour industry in Alberta it has taken the government out of controlling what product is imported. I live in BC and the control board here makes it very difficult to get foreign wines as they are trying to protect the BC wine industry. I actually drive to Calgary a couple of times a year and stock up on hard to get wines.

I did not know Alberta has privitized...as a matter of fact, the liquor price has almost doubled.

Last month I was in Vancouver, and found a number of labels I could not find in Calgary.

Dom Perignon cost >$230 here, while Moet & Chandon charges $60. These are the most expensive prices in the world.

Will go back to check tomorrow, but if my memory is not fading me, it is 1999, which I bought for $125 - 150 elsewhere.
