UK VAT and Refunds
 

Hey folks - I know that non-Canadian residents can apply for GST refunds for purchases they've made in Canada - is there a similiar provision for non-UK (Canadian) residents being able to apply for UK VAT reimbursements?

Canada's rebate programme was scrapped recently. There is a VAT-refund programme for non-E.U. residents but there are minimum purchases (same day at same participating store) required and there's a service charge involved. I found Austria has one of the better refunds (lower minimum purchases, lower service charge) compared to the U.K. and Netherlands.
