Getting from YHM to downtown Toronto
 
I am travelling with Globespan (wish me luck) LGW to YHM in Aug. I would like to hire a car and drive to downtown Toronto where I will be staying.

Can anyone help with some info:
- Accessibility of car rental at YHM
- Journey time at around 6pm from there to downtown Toronto
- Any suggestion on the best route to take (never driven in Canada before)
- Any other advice (apart from "don't fly with FGS"?

Check all the rental companies. Namely, Avis, Budget, Hertz & National (as well as some of the others such as Alamo, Dollar, Thrifty).

I'd say an 1 hour as it should be past rush hour and you're going against traffic flow.

Looks like it's Highway 6 north to 403/QEW which will take you straight into d/t Toronto. Only some 50 miles.
