I'm glad that the US government has agreed to put my FT name on everyone's passport - excellent publicity. But they still treat me the same as everyone else.

Just curious, for Canadians entering US by air.....do you still get stamped now a days?

Most of the time yes. No stamps at land crossings, at least not when using a car. (Don't know about other means of transport.)

Before I got GE, this would happen more on the east coast than the west coast, but it seems that it's a norm for some crossings (air, land or sea) and the opposite is norm for others.

We have crossed in YYC, YYZ and YUL in recent months, as well as DEN and LAX and have been stamped every single time.

My passport has been stamped 50% of the time I've crossed by Air (but never stamped at the Land Border).

Judging by the body language of the customs officer you get, I think, largely determines whether your passport is stamped or not.

Officers that have tended to ask more questions about my travels almost always stamp my passport. The lazy laid back ones do not.

Stamps are redundant though as everything is tracked by a central computer system.
