Montreal at Christmas

My wife's b'day is Dec 27th, so I figured I would take her for a nice trip to Montreal for the week between Christmas and New Years (we live in NH, so it is a comfortable drive). I want her to have a very luxurious stay, but we also have a 5 year old, so I need to find some place that has indoor pool, spa, restaurants, etc, but with some stuff for kids to do. I know about the biodome, planetarium, etc, but some times you need some down time in the hotel and was hoping for a nice place that still somewhat caters to the kids.

We want to be downtown, close to a metro.

Anyone have any ideas? Most places I have checked (and stayed at before) seem to cater more towards the business traveler.

Thanks,

Ron

Not sure if it's nice enough for you, but I think that the Delta Montreal has a children's centre... I've never stayed at the hotel personally, but it's very close to 2 different Metro stops.

Unfortunately, most of the best hotels in Montreal are all smaller boutique hotels, but they don't offer much (if anything) in the way of amenities for children. Many of them don't have pools either.

So it might be a little tough to find somewhere that will keep everyone happy.

Maybe someone else has other suggestions?

Delta Montreal is a nice place. Thank you for suggesting it - not sure why I missed it.

Thanks again,

Ron

Don't forget that there are 2 downtown Delta's: Delta Montreal and Delta Centre-Ville.

Delta Montreal advertises this:

Children Activity Centre
Dolphin Program at our Sports Club: lessons and swimming programs for children.

Our Activity Center will keep them busy thanks to games, arts & crafts, toys and even music. In season, they may enjoy the fresh air at our outside playground, created just for them!
while Delta Centre-ville offers:

Children’s Creative Centres
A parent-supervised facility.
Suitable for ages six and under.
Hours: Monday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Stocked with books and games.
The first one sounds better to me.

I agree with this as well. My daughter has been swimming for about 3 years now, so the Dolphin program seems like a perfect fit for us.

Thanks.
