Best Vancouver Hotel
The title says it all. Looking for suggestions for a twp or three night stay.
Thanks! |
Rather a difficult question to answer without a little bit more information than the title provides.
What are your preferences in regards to: Points program Location Amenities Budget Service |
A smaller, non-chain hotel I'm rather fond of is The Listel, which is on Robson. It's close to Stanley Park, the rooms and suites are reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant/bar is pretty good.

Sorry...I will learn to type and proofread someday!
Don't give a rat's about points...want comfort elegance and a great staff. Thanks. |
Opus Hotel
While it is very trendy, I have stayed there twice and had amazing service. |

If it's elegance & service you're after, I don't think you can beat the Fairmont. Expensive, though.

For a truly great view with above-par service, try the Pan Pacific. Not the regular rooms but the upgraded rooms which offer almost a 180 degree view of the water. The Sutton Place is Vancouver's only 5 diamond hotel. The rooms are regular sized but the location is quite good. Service is also good. There is a hotel side and a residence side. The Four Seasons used by to 5 diamond but dropped recently. While some people may complain about this hotel not receiving a facelift for quite a while, its service is still legendary. Also, connected directly to Pacific Centre Mall and virtually beside Holt Renfrew. I'd also recommend the Shangri-la but it's not built yet. :p |
>The Fairmont Waterfront
Be wary of the Fairmont Waterfront, Pan Pacific and (to a lesser degree) they Westin Bayshore right now. They're pile-driving as they expand the convention centre and the noise is pretty bad. Cheers, Geoff Glave Vancouver |
YES PCL is making noise there, a good hotel is le soleil, weel situated on robson, used to be a sheraton... also the sheraton wall center, tallest building in town! can get great views, south tower has the suites and club, but is older, new tower really nice but only normal/ delux rooms and goes to floor 20ish compared to 35. ( the top of the north tower is office building or condo)
