Chinatown
If you would like a quick trip to Hongcouver
try Floata Seafood 604-681-7123 at Chinatown. It's like visiting H/Kong, the Yum Cha will knock your sox's off. The Flying Grandma. |
Is Yum Cha the same as Dim Sum? I seem to remember Dim Sum being called by another name in Sydney but I thought it was Dim Sum in Hong Kong.

I prefer the Richmond location of Floata to Chinatown - much smaller and closer parking. If you are going for dim sum, I suggest you go early. We went on a Sat. at 9:30 and were seated right away, but by 10, the place was packed.
www.floata.com Beware of getting run over when they wheel out a dish that is popular - I saw many people running over to the cart with their tickets in hand before the pusher had gotten two feet out of the kitchen! I also like Hon's Wun Tun on Keefer for non-dim dum breakfasts of jook/congee (rice porridge) noodle soups and other dishes. [This message has been edited by FlyinHawaiian (edited 08-26-2003).] |
