Mountain views when landing in YYC?
I've never flown into or out of YYC, but have a ski trip booked from YUL with my 8 year old in February, flying premium economy. I'm wondering if there will be any decent views of the mountains as we approach, and if so would we be better off on the right or left of the plane, or does it make no difference?
thanks. |
YYC main runways are roughly (or precisely?) N-S so you have to determine what the prevailing winds are likely to be. Obviously, port side for landings to the north, and starboard for to the south.
Should add that it's still quite distant but you can see the mountains even from east of the city. |
