Urgent ETA question

Hi all

Looking for some urgent advice. I think I may be ok but would be good if someone could confirm.

I have an ETA for travel in January to Canada. It is been approved and showing as approved when I check it. When I applied, it asked if I knew when I was panning to travel and I put in the date - 14 January. However, I want to bring this forward and instead travel on 1 January. I can't change this online.

Am I still covered to travel before I told them? The ETA is valid until 3 December 2023 which is 4 years from the date that I applied, so I assume that it is valid from the date I apply and that my travel date is advisory only?

If anyone can advise for sure, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Yes it’s valid from approval. People change their plans all the time, it’s fine
