Canada-US connection at YYZ T3
Hi all, I'm considering a 2-hour Canada-to-USA connection (YQB-YYZ-LGA) through Pearson T3 on a non-holiday Monday in February between 14:30 and 16:30. I will have a checked bag and also have Global Entry (and a physical GE card, so I can make use of CATSA Trusted Traveller lines in Canada.)
I've checked the connections guide on the YYZ website and it does indicate that I don't have to pick up my checked luggage. However, it doesn't go into much more detail than that -- I've read about having to wait in a waiting area to wait for checked bags to clear before proceeding to US CBP at YYZ, is this what is going to happen here?
My secondary question is does this seem like a wise idea? I have never actually done a Canada-USA connection or even been to Pearson so I don't know how the preclearance waits for connections differ and how much GE helps (or doesn't help). A delayed arrival in LGA will not kill me (I'm just coming home) but I'd obviously rather avoid an unscheduled night in Toronto.

All WestJet -- I apologize I don't have the exact numbers (I haven't booked it yet, and will be booking it through the Delta website via codeshare and don't have the numbers on me at the moment) but they are coming into and out of T3.

That's a very easy connection and you'll probably end up sitting around wondering what to do with the extra time. I personally wouldn't hesitate to book it.
