YUL to US - when to arrive?
How early should I arrive at YUL for a 9:40 AM departure to the US? I'll be checking a bag with wines in it. I don't have Global Entry.

I think 2 hours in advance would be prudent, but you will probably get through the whole process faster. Also factor in morning traffic depending upon where in Montreal you are coming from.

Thanks. I'm at Place St. Émilie-Gamelin. Plan to leave around 7am by cab, when Google tells me typical driving time is 18-28 minutes.

Following up — I caught a cab from the hotel at 7:10am. Fare was CAD$41.00. The trip to YUL was a quick twenty minutes, and I was through the extremely friendly and efficient security and US pre-clearance by 8:00.
