Global Entry Machines at YYZ T1 now only passports
Change from last week to this week. Put in Nexus card and got "Canadian Citizens must scan Canadian Passports for Global Entry" message. Of course this is the only time I did not have my passport with me. One uncomfortable interview later and I am through!

As this is a YYZ airport specific topic rather than Air Canada or Aeroplan specific matter it's been relocated to the Canada forum for further discussion.

Ran into this myself this morning. Is this just a temporary glitch? I asked an official near the machines, and he said Global Entry has "always required a passport". Not true, I've always used my Nexus card. Sometimes I don't even have my passport on me!

"The NEXUS card will be recognized by the Global Entry kiosks in Canada Preclearance locations only. When using the Global Entry kiosks in Canada Preclearance locations you can use your passport, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident card or NEXUS card. You cannot use your NEXUS card at Global Entry kiosks outside of Canadian Preclearance locations. At all other ports, you will need to use your passport or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident card. They either changed the rules or it's a system error.
