USA Arrival to Domestic Departure Connections with Air Canada at Toronto Pearson
 

Hi. I will be connecting on an AC flight from the USA to an AC flight to Montreal on December 31. I understand that while I will have to go through customs and immigration in Toronto (obviously), I will not have to pick up my bags or go through security again, and instead would just take a bus to my domestic departure gate. I was just wondering how it all works, how long lines and waits are, what you though of the whole process, etc. Also, what if one is selected for secondary inspection? How would they get your bags if you don't have to pick them up? If this happens, since you would then have access to your checked bags, I assume that you would then have to go through security again. Would I then have to go out into the main terminal and not be able to take advantage of the bus service?
