Hi guys,

I booked a ticket on the last B744 commercial flights operated by Royal Air Maroc, I will fly from Casablanca to Montreal and back on the same day, 2.5h later, connecting in YUL. Both flights are on the same PNR, so I guess, if AT sold me the ticket, I meet the MCT (ExpertFlyer shows 60min MCT for I/I), I have enough time to make the connection but I have some questions:
do I have to pass thru customs and immigration? (no checked baggage)
What is the transit procedure in my case?
Is there any way to check in desk in the transfer zone or I have to go landside for check in? (they do not offer online check in for flights from Montreal, but I might get my boarding pass when I leave Casablanca).

AT208 18:05 - 20:08 - 15 September;
AT209 22:55 - 10:45(+1) - 15 September.

I believe you will have to clear Canadian immigration and customs, even with no checked baggage. Both the connecting flights guide from Aéroports de Montréal and Air Canada's guide to connecting via Montreal (I know you're not flying AC, but I wanted to look at a second source just in case) indicate that for international-to-international transit, passengers have to clear Canadian passport control and customs in all cases.

I think that in general, there is no sterile transit for international-to-international flight in any Canadian airport, but I'm not 100% sure on this. (That's "international" in the Canadian airport sense, i.e. not including flights to the United States.)

Especially in Montreal, where there is no real separation between international departures and domestic departures.

I see, but do you think is 2.5h (if no delay) enough time for making the transfer (including customs and immigrations - e have eTA and US visa)?

2.5h should be plenty of time, especially without checked bags.

If at all possible, get your YUL-CMN boarding pass beforehand. in CMN. This way, even if your inbound is delayed, you don't have to make it to the landside AT check-in counter in YUL before the check-in cutoff.

hope they will print out the boarding pass in CMN for the inbound, unfortunately for this route I cannot checkin online :(
