YVR-YYC pre-deregulation?

I'm curious about Canadian airfares prior to de-regulation.

Anyone here know what a YVR-YYC fare would have cost in, say, 1980? Either in today's dollars or 1980 dollars?

I realize on the hour flight you would have gotten legroom, alcohol, likely the seat next to you empty and maybe a meal, but I'm curious what it would have cost?

PWA timetable April 1980

YYCYVR Y$78 B$101

No non-stops on PWA

Y was one-way economy class
B was limited availability round-trip Economizer fare, 7 day advance, Sat night stay

The economy, Alberta's and BC's in particular, was very hot in 1980. I'm not sure why you'd assume a lot of empty seats.

As this a more general historic Canadian aviation query rather than a current Air Canada/Aeroplan specific question it's been relocated to the Canada forum for further discussion.

I remember paying about $230-250 round trip all in, back in the early 80's on AC, with my Enroute credit card.

Remember those ?
