YYT Airport Expansion
 

Had my first departure from the expanded YYT terminal this morning. The new screening area is a welcome addition, particularly with the addition of a proper Nexus lane. The departures area is significantly expanded, though the seating per gate is still limited since the lounge is long, but not very deep and I'm not quite sure what all the gates/podiums are going to be used for. Also not sure why they needed to label the gates differently than other airports by using the 6A, 7A terminology, why not go simple?

All in all, a very seamless departure this morning, my only hiccup is that the MLL won't scan a card stock boarding pass for entry, despite the fact that's what's given out at priority check-in (for those unaware, the MLL in YYT is not staffed with a dragon like others in the country).

The arrivals area was blocked when I flew in on Saturday, that expansion starts next year I believe.
