Vancouver getaway hotel suggestions

I'm thinking about taking my wife to Vancouver for a long weekend, and am looking for hotel recommendations. I have no status, so I'm not constrained by brand.

Must have:
Great room, bigger, with suite and exterior view.
Not a tired hotel. Has updated/modern decor and furnishings
close to areas with good restaurant options

Nice to have:
Nice pool/hot tub area

I don't need:
great restaurant or bar, as we usually get out of the hotel for meals

Thanks!

Do you have a price point in mind? Summer or later? YVR hotel rates skyrocket in the summer, often $500+ a night for a room that is normally under $200.

In terms of premium, I like the Westin (on the water and near Stanley Park) and the Fairmont Warerfront. I also like the Hyatt, but for a personal trip the other two are better locations IMO.

In terms of greater affordability, I like the Metropolitan and Listel.

I'm a fan of the Hotel Vancouver (Fairmont). It has far more character than the usual modern cookie cutter hotels.

100% Fairmont Pac Rim. It is what you are looking for.
Westin is nice too, but less luxurious.
Hotel Georgia is quite nice but I'm not the biggest fan of location

Further to the hotels named by others, also consider Opus Hotel and The Loden Hotel, which are a bit more "boutiquey".
