And, they're taking 13 years to deal with the ramifications of one crash, caused by the one carrier, with more hull losses than anyone else in recent memory.

If you can't land your jet on 11,000' of tarmac, runway/overrun length is not the problem.

So they may be extending the YTZ runway after all. :-/ According to Wikipedia, it is 1,216 metres long, so the new rules would apply.
