SwissPort Strike delays?
 

Flying out on EVA next weekend YYZ (Saturday 1AM) and I'm wondering if I'm going to run into any issues due to the strike?

Did a search and there's not a lot of talk so I'm assuming all is OK.

From my limited anecdotal experience any delays are on incoming flights. Outgoing flights are remaining on time however some of the people I know who came into YYZ on a Swissport-served carrier experienced delays in getting checked luggage from their aircraft. The delays weren't huge (e.g. under an hour) but were noticeable.

I asked the YYZ-based in charge on my MXP flight this. Pickets are up, delaying crew/public entry @ Pearson. She had her boyfriend drop her off at Kipling subway.
I anticipated delays in checked bag handing this week, but everything was normal.
Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Just an update, no issues at all. I later found out the GTAA hired a bunch of outside contractors to help fill the void so no one should notice any delays.
