sea to sky gondola (for those who have been there)
Looking to do a day trip to sea to sky gondola. How long does it take to get from the entrance of the park up to the suspension bridge? Is it easy to make the trip in half a day or should I go early in the morning? Also, it seems their is no public transportation so it looks like i have to rent a car
The photos of there look amazing.

Also be sure to stop at Shannon Falls on the way up.

If you don't want to do a tour, there is also a daily shuttle from Vancouver to the Gondola -

The hike up is 2 to 4 hrs on a well marked hiking trail. 3 spots have rope & chain assists to make it easier to ascend the semi smooth rock face. There is no real exposure, it's not like rock climbing.
The gondola doesn't begin operations til 10 or so, but you can start the hike at any time. Download tickets (I think they're $15 this year) can be purchased at the top, you don't have to wait for the base ticket office to open. The views are awesome, have a great time.

fay637 - Just to be clear - What surreycrv is saying is that hiking up is another option instead of riding up in the gondola.
There is a lot of vertical though and you'll need to be fairly fit.
