Intl Arrival Procedures YYC
 

Hi All, I'm going to be flying to YYC in a few days (never been) and had a few questions regarding US-YYC arrival procedures. Just a couple quick questions:

Do arrivals into B (and from a US destinations) get shuttled directly into the immigration/customs wing? Is there any opportunity to hang around the B gates before heading to immigration?

If we need to go direct to immigration, where is the best place to locate an ATM before heading to the rental agencies? Do they tend to be packed?

Yes you go directly to customs after arriving from the US. It's a long empty hallway that ends when you get to the customs desk. After customs you claim your bags on the carousel which is also located inside the customs area, prior to entering into the public arrivals area.

After you exit the customs into the arrivals area, you'll see a bunch of retired folk wearing red vests with white cowboy hats. Just ask them about the ATM, there's a bunch around the terminal, a few are on the 2nd floor (departures).
