Canadian visa visiting US?

When accompanied by an US citizen, can someone with a visa to visit Canada visit enter US? If so, what's the maximum amount of time that person is allowed to stay in the US?

What is the citizenship of the person?

AFAIK, having a Canadian visa has no bearing on admissibility to the US.

Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan.

Accompanied by a U.S. citizen means nothing as the person will have to talk to a customs agent themselves and will be admitted or refused based upon their own paperwork.

Here's a handy online resource to check admissibility:

Your travelling from country and others with you has no bearing on your personal visa requirements and admissibility.

If you do not have a visa travelling with other people of that country will no make you admissible or visa requirement waived.

BTW the number one Chinese nationals' illegal attempts to enter the US are via the land based crossing like Ambassador bridge, Clearwater Bridge and the Detroit Windsor Tunnel.

So no it is... I guess I'd have to go to Canada to meet up then. Thanks all for the info!

Even Canadian permanent residents can NOT enter US without visa! However, US green card holders, do not need visa to enter Canada.
