Online check in/ Passport validity

hello,

I am traveling on the Vyama BRU fare. Problem is the child member in our party has a passport expiration within 3 months (Belgium requires 3 months + passport expiration date).

If we check in online, will AC let us travel. Also once we land in Brussels, what are the chances that Belgium will not let us in the country? Again, we are talking about a child member of a party of 4 whose passport falls short of the 3 months+ validity. The rest of us have longer validity periods. Since all are US passports, no visa is required.

For US citizens visiting Belgium (connecting through Canada), via timatic:
Passport required.
- Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
on arrival.

Not sure where you see that Belgium requires additional validity?

Thank you!!! I see timatic does not require additional validity of passport:

I saw my requirements in the US State dept website:
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_p...y_requirements

Additional requirements (Standardize requirements)
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_p.../cis_4361.html

I am not sure which one to believe Timatic or the State dept.

I can avoid by applying for a new passport, but my travel is less than 14 days, and have to travel to the Passport office (and get my kid off school for a day)

I just found out that timatic (star alliance visa page) is correct and the US State dept is wrong.

I visited Beglium's USA Embassy webpage which says US citizens only need to have a valid passport (valid for the duration of the visit).
http://www.diplobel.us/TravelingBelg...s/Visitors.asp
So I think I am in the clear ;-). Thanks to all who helped!
