One thing new for Vancouver since this thread 3 years ago is that there is now a "big" public event down at Canada Place which combines a free street party, a paid indoor event at the Convention Centre West, and fireworks at 9pm (for families) and midnight. We might head down there this year since our past year's plans aren't happening this year but just stay around the fringes depending on how packed it is.
