ATM/ABM's at YUL
Unfortunately, there are no Scotiabank ABM's located at YUL which would save me $5 with my Bank of America debit/ATM card. I am trying to determine the best ABM to use (proximity, lower fees) when arriving from USA in a few weeks. I know Bank of America charges the $5 and 1%. Is there a flat fee (like $2) that a RBC ABM for example would also charge me?
In general, do the ABM's at the airport have the same conversion as an ABM downtown? Thanks YUL experts.... |

Except of course for the RBC machine next to the currency exchange at international arrivals. ;)

After going to the ABM to take out money, I was going to buy a 3-day pass and take the 747 Bus pass downtown. I arrive at YUL at 7:40am. Knowing it will take some time to go through customs, do you know what time does the currency exchange booth opens so that I can buy my bus pass?

You can use bills to buy the ticket from the dispensers. In fact, I saw what appeared to be 2 "full-fledged" STM ticket machines being installed last week. This would mean that you could also use a credit card to purchase the ticket, if these machines are fully functional. I'll get a closer look at the machines later today and post back here and in the 747 thread about what I find.

That would be great if they began accepting credit cards to buy the STM tickets at the airport...now I wonder if they would be able to accept credit cards from outside the country (US for example).
I would image that credit cards issued outside of Canada would work since the dip slot isn't chip-pin and we don't have that annoying "Please enter your zipcode..." feature in Canada. |

I can now confirm that the machines accept credit cards. Besides purchasing 1 and 3 day passes, one can also top up an Opus card if they already have one. The only things that the machines do not sell are single-ride fares and "occasional" passes.
