Thompson Toronto Hotel
 

Hi guys,

Coming to Toronto for a few nights in August and thinking of staying in the Thompson Hotel as I stayed in one in NYC and loved it. Have any FTers stayed there yet? Where can I find the best deal for this place?

The Thompson Hotel in YYZ is brand new. I didn't think it was open yet. It's a combination hotel / condo and the condo folks only just finished moving in last month. There's supposed to be a new restaurant "opening soon" but there's still construction equipment sitting outside that space.

I would suspect that if you stay at the hotel now, they might still be working out the kinks. OTOH, this is exactly the situation where one can get favourable rates so it might be worth a try.

Small update - the Counters restaurant at the Thompson just got their neon sign installed today.
