Security Delays at SAN
 

I'm flying out of SAN tonight, but a colleague left around noon. At 10 AM, she said security lines were approximately 1 hour. TSA folks were handing out bottles of water to the folks on line.

Any updates?

Well, who better to answer my post than myself!

Checking in to SAN at 3 pm - a full three hours before my flight - I found the line at security in Terminal 1 to be exactly 0 people. Yes, I walked from United check-in (no line there) directly to the x-ray machine (briefly telling the TSA guy that I had no liquids of any kind in my bag (and that I'd also urinated recently).

Since there was no one there, I chatted with the TSA agents about the lack of line. They said Terminal 2 had bigger lines, but it wasn't so bad by the end of the morning rush.

So, there was no need to get worked up about it. Good luck to the OP! ;)

Anybody with an update for this weekend?
 

I am leaving out of T1 Gate 1 or 2 (I think most all vegas go out of here)
which has its own security line. Do you think 1.5 hours early is enough if I am checkin luggage? I am leaving late in the eve also :)

I think 1.5 hours is fine for T1. Like I said, I was there the day all the bad stuff happened and there was no line there at all at 3:30 pm.
