Testing of the early-warning system, which has been kept under wraps because of security concerns, is nearing completion, said Duane Lindner of Livermore's Sandia National Laboratories. Sandia is collaborating with SFO on the counter-terrorism system, which someday may be as common in malls, office buildings and subway stations as smoke detectors.</font> |
