LAX Lower/Arrival Roadwork Begins Sept 28
Roadwork on the Lower/Arrival level roads at LAX begins September 28 and runs for 4 weeks. Most of the work will be taking place between midnight and sunrise, so it shouldn't effect most travelers. But there could be delays. See:

Thanks for the warning PremEx. I'll never forget the LAX airport construction prior to the 1984 Olympics when the upper level was created. What a mess that was but the show must go on! It was actually a well executed effort.
