AA Shuttle

I understand that American Eagle now uses a separate terminal for their planes. Can anyone tell me if there's a shuttle that picks you up at this terminal to take you to a connecting airline or do you have to first get to the main AA terminal & then walk out to the normal shuttles.

The American Eagle terminal is out by the American Airlines hanger. There are buses within the security areas (T3/T4) that will take you there. If you arrive on a mainline flight in T4 just walk over to the Eagle gate in T4 and take the shuttle over.

Since the terminal is out in the middle of the airport, you do need to use the regular AA facilities, and then catch the shuttle.

As I now live in Palm Springs, I have passed through this terminal about a half-dozen times, so thought I'd share what I've experienced. If you use the American Eagle terminal at LAX, it can add more than 20 minutes to your connection time. If there is a lot of ground traffic it can take 30 minutes from deplaning at the Eagle terminal to arriving at the main terminal. (The trip from the Eagle to terminal took the same amount of time as the flight from PS.) They also use different buses/different queues for different terminals (makes sense and seems to work well) and, sometimes, officious goons herding people into said lines (don't get me started on that!). http://www.flyertalk.com/airports/ft...forum/wink.gif That's it for now...

T3 is for shorthaul, such as palm spring and vegas

T4 is for 'all the rest"/longhaul

between T3 and T4 is Tom Bradley the int'l terminal. walkiing time is aboout 10 minutes

the AA shuttle leaves roughly every 10 minutes. it is faster to go from T3 to T4 (you just have to past Tom Bradly) following the anticlockwise flow of traffic, and it takes longer to go from T4 to T3.

but 20 minute is enough to move between terminals. it you have tighter time window, you can choose to walk (pass Tom Bradly, i.e.)
