Monterey & Carmel in Feb

Going to be in the Monterey/ Carmel area of norcal for the first time ever in mid Feb. Is it better to stay in a single hotel for three nights, or better to stay in Carmel two nights and Monterey another night? We plan on seeing the Monterey aquarium and historic Monterey on Fri , Point Lobos, Carmel, and 17 Mile Drive on Saturday, then the redwoods on Sunday.

Monterey and Carmel are neighboring communities and only minutes apart by car. I don't see an advantage to moving hotels during your stay.

Yes, I would echo the same. Why pack and unpack.
Both cities are good locations to stay, depends on what type of accommodations you are looking for. Near and on Cannery Row (Monterey) you will find lots of restaurants.
