San Diego - Holiday Lights at Global Winter Wonderland - and elsewhere?

We will be staying at Fairmont Del Mar for 3 nights, starting on Jan 3. We will be travelling from Las Vegas by rented car on Jan 3, returning on Jan 6.

We would like to see any commercial or residential lights in San Diego during the days we are there?

Any suggestions?

Your thoughts on Global Winter Wonderland?

Your thoughts on the Festival of Lights at Riverside - I believe the road between Las Vegas and San Diego traverses Riverside?

In Chula Vista (south of San Diego), there is a residential neighborhood that has had a Christmas display for 60 years now. It's called "Christmas Circle," located at Mankato St. and Whitney St. The two streets form an oblong "circle."

Would the lights still be up when we are in San Diego-Jan 3/4/5 nights?

Sorry, missed your dates. Officially, it ends after December 26. Don't know if the decorations are taken down immediately or not. It appears that most of these kinds of displays end by the end of December.

Here's a listing of various light displays around San Diego County:

San Diego's Best Map of Christmas Lights

It looks like most of them will be done by the time you're here, but aside from Global Winter Wonderland and SeaWorld, I did find a couple that will still be up:

SPRING VALLEY, 91977
  • . Lots of lights, music, penguins, Snoopy, Mickey, Minnie and Santa in the window. Dec. 10-Jan. 5, dusk-11 pm.
OCEANSIDE, 92056, 92057

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 2:55 pm.
