6 days to kill around SFO ?
 

fly into SFO from Fiji 5 Jan, with wife & 14yo daughter. Going skiing in Colorado 11 Jan, so am trying to decide what to do from 5-11 Jan.

Thinking of driving thru Napa Valley(for wife) & then maybe go to Lake Tahoe for a few nights & maybe ski at Heavenly for a few days.

We may even fly out of Reno or Sacramento to Vail or Denver.

Did the drive from SFO to LAX in Jan 2016, down hwy 1.

Any suggestions ?

If you are looking to get out of SF, another option would be Monterey/Carmel (about 2 hours south of SF by car). Neither Napa nor Monterey would exactly be the most fun for the 14-year old though (although aquarium in Monterey is pretty neat).
