Shuttle or car service SAN to Del Mar?

I'm looking for a shuttle or car service from the San Diego airport to Del Mar. I know there are several such services, but does anyone have a favorite, one that offers reliable, prompt, safe service at a fair price? Traveling October 2014. Many thanks in advance!

Thanks, FT. I should have mentioned that I'm inquiring on behalf of my sister-in-law, a "woman of a certain age" who would not use Uber or any of the similar ride-share services. But I appreciate your reply all the same.

I should have been more specific in my initial reply. I was thinking of Uber Black. I'm not a huge fan of UberX or Lyft.

For a yellow cab, she can always call (619) 444-4444. I can't vouch for them since I've actually never taken a yellow cab ride in SD yet.

As always, the cabs are terrible.

OP could just order the Uber Black from their app and instruct the driver on where to pickup/dropoff. Otherwise, it's just like calling any other car service. Except better, faster, and cheaper.

Prime Time Shuttle offers both a shared shuttle and a private towncar service on that route. I haven't used them in San Diego, but I've been satisfied with their service at LAX.

The shared shuttle service can be a bit slower, as they go around and drop off other people, so if it's for an older person who can't sit in the van for long then that might not work.
