I was wondering is there any cheap ways to get to California from Toronto for two people above 21 and 23

How cheap? Discount airline? Drive? Bus? Hitch hike?

In addition to elaborating on what you mean by "cheap" it would also help to know if there's a specific date you need to travel and whether you prefer to get there fast (a nonstop flight YYZ-SFO/LAX is 6 hours) or slow (bus, train, or car would be 3 or more days).
