Rancho Mirage Family Vacation Ideas
Any one have any good ideas for family vacations in Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage area in April? We are looking for a resort with some kind of amenity access (ie not a standalone house). Two parents, a nineteen year old, a four year old and two one year olds...
1) We have stayed at La Quinta and Westin Mission Hills, it's nice enough but want something different.
2) We were thinking about Rancho Las Palmas and staying in the connected condos (we are a family of 6 so hotel rooms add up fast) and have heard some very positive things but also some very negative things about facilities, Splashtopia, etc.
3) I have heard the Hyatt and Radisson are giant and horrible. Thoughts?
4) Any other ideas?

Since no one has posted, I figure that even a bit of incomplete info might help.
Here is the review thread in the Hyatt forum on the Hyatt Grand Champions, Indian Wells:

I've stayed at this hotel and they have some cottages out by the golf course. One of the 2BR cottages (which is the room I stayed in) might work for your purpose, I think. These cottages have their own jacuzzi, are isolated from the rest of the hotel, and come with butler service (although we hardly saw the butler), so you might find them a possibility.
