Foie Gras in San Diego?

Anyone know of any restaurants that still serve Foie Gras in San Diego?

The two places I used to go to (Bertrand's at Mister A's and El Bizochoco) stopped serving due to complaints from animal rights activists...

I'm missing my yearly fix

I don't have an answer, but I'm surprised SAN is cutting back on this, whereas it is ubiquitous here in SF. I had it just last night, shaved onto greens at a mid-range Italian restaurant.

Hasn't real foie gras been outlawed in the US?

Bernard'O, in Rancho Bernardo, is among at least 14 local fine-dining establishments that have removed foie gras from their menus as the clock counts down toward a statewide ban that takes effect in 2012.

That leaves an estimated 15 restaurants in the county still offering the fleshy organ-meat delicacy, although some restaurants that took it off the menu still serve it on request.

A 2004 California law signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will make selling or producing foie gras illegal starting in 2012.
