Malaysia: Tune Hotels sale >MR10++ [book by 22 May 09]

Warning: basic accomodation w/ a la carte services (towel, air con, etc.) Decent reviews on tripadvisor.

From TravelZoo AU:
Tunehotels.com is celebrating its 2nd Birthday by offering stays in its 3-star budget hotels for just $4 inc tax (MYR10) per room, per night. That's about 60% OFF the regular prices and you'll sleep in exotic locations with a queen bed and an ensuite for about the cost of a coffee.

* Kuala Lumpur, Downtown
Located close to the Petronas Towers and shopping.
* Kuala Lumpur, LCCT Sepang
Located only a 7 minute walk from the KL terminal, this hotel is ideal for transit between flights.
* Penang Downtown
Located in the dining and shopping hub of George Town, Penang's capital.
* Waterfront Kuching
Located in the centre of Kuching, a 5 minute walk from the Waterfront and great shopping, dining and nightlife.
* Kota Kinabalu, Borneo
Located in 1Borneo the largest shopping mall in East Malaysia with a free shuttle service to city centre.

Book by 5/22. Stay 1 Feb - 30 April 2010.

I'm glad someone else thought this was cool! I sent the link to a FT friend who made fun of the fact A/C can be purchased in 12 hr blocks. I have no plans for Asia travel next year, otherwise would have looked into this further. Thought it perfect for Budget Travel forum.

What a great idea!

I am planning a trip across Malaysia from KBI to Penang and I plan to stay at every Tune Hotel they have.

Sure as heck beats hostels.

Great thread!

P.S. I grabbed a return to Melbourne from KUL for $240 including tax. (I'll stand at that price).
