Middle East

Middle East with links to India and Sri Lanka:
Airarabia

Combining some of their flights with say a European LLC to Egpyt, might also make for a LC way to get to the near east.

Please add to the list Bangkok Airways. I flew them a few weeks ago from BKK to HKT and return, and they were really a very nice outfit. Other than a few weather delays, my experience was nothing but positive.

flyi.com was Indepence Air who went bankrupt Jan 2006. They're no longer flying at all.

Anyone heard which airlines are taking over Independence Air's routes? I love flying out of DC with them and am curious.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. This is an awesome thread! ^

Can someone please recommend a website where I can purchase cheap or discounted airfare from the USA to Seoul, Korea?

Thank you!

Welcome to FT gemduncan!

But gotta tell you, USA is a large place to look for flights from.

That said, I'll let someone else come up with the best website for cheap fares, as I usually look for cheap fares that accrue miles that I can use for status and travel using my accrued FF miles.

My favorite place to find cheap fares is right here in the Mileage Run forum, but of course finds are sporratic, and don't always last. OTOH, last year I flew to Singapore for $550 all-in and because of my status with CO accrued about 40K NonePass miles (but only 10 K EQM because it was on NWA), which is two thirds of a reward ticket to Asia (provided you can get availibility )

My suggestion for cheap tickets to Seoul would be to find a Korean or perhaps just an Asian TA. They often have access to cheap, unpublished fares to Asia.

Emailkid,

I will be traveling from Cincinnati, Ohio to Seoul in August. So far the cheapest airfare that I've found for that time of year is approximately $1,100. I'm willing to fly out of other cities (Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, Lexington, KY).

Do you have any other suggestions for websites? What do you think of The Travel Outlet?

Thanks!

Dohop.com

Please include dohop.com.

It performs many of the functions other consoldiator sites do but uniquely it will look up different sites to suggest routings.

For instance there is no direct route from Glasgow-Katowice but dohop will show all possible routings including LCC's

Mexico LCCs

Here is a listing of other low cost carriers currently operating in México. Only click Mexicana (poreviously Aerocaribe) has English web possibilities; the rest have Spanish-only websites. More detail on this thread in the NA/SA/LA FF program forum.

China low-cost airline

What about Spring Airlines?

http://www.china-sss.com/

Website is a little shaky, but the fares seem decent...
