They usually take all regular prices 20% higher the day before anyway. If you fly often get the Wizz Club it will make you save a lot. Many European banks give it for free with an account or card

Enroll in their newsletter to stay updated. I hadn't cleaned out my spam box so I counted. Got the offer in 2014 in January (2x), February (3x), March (3x), April (2x), September (2x) and November (3x).

I've been waiting all November to make a booking at the so-called "usual" 20%-off offer but it still hasn't come around this month. I'm curious too as to whether there is any pattern to this?

Every couple of months. Last year there was one mid-November, so it's still a good change it'll pop up. Though lately I've been getting offers on the app, and I don't know if they are maybe available only on there, not in general on the website.
One way or the other, I haven't found the 20% offer worthwhile in general as it seems to come after a bump in price originally.
