Easy Jet Boarding Queue

I have three flights coming up with Easy Jet soon and it'll be my first experience with a budget European airline.
Having an aisle seat is important to me.
Speedy Boarding certainly gets mixed reviews, it's at $18 a flight. Checked in today and noticed I was in Boarding Queue 2. Is the low number worth anything or is SB my safe option.
Thank you

From my personal experience, without using Speedy Boarding, I have always been able to secure the seat I wanted (window in my case, but an aisle seat should not be more difficult to get). I have always been assigned to boarding group 2.

Boarding Group 2 is everybody who hasn't bought Speedy Boarding.

You just have to be at the gate early so that you're near the front of the queue.

Thank you.
Stranger in a new land will go with the flow.

As Aviatrix said, there are only 2 boarding groups, so boarding group 2 is everyone.

I have found that when I am travelling solo, I have never had a problem getting a seat I want (window in my case), as long as you don't linger in the bar and don't care about sitting near the front of the plane.

Just did this for the first time myself last month. The queue started up about 30-40 minutes before boarding. We were about a third of the way back in the queue and had no issues getting our perfered seats. Just don't linger around and you should be good.

Also they were very strict about the one carry on item. Anyone how had two pieces no matter how small was pulled from the line and made to consolidate.

what makes me laugh is so many times you see the SB people looking down their noses at boarding group 2 to have that smirk wiped right off their faces when they get on a bus and it then works out as first on last off

They have slightly modified the hand baggage rule now so that multiple items are allowed as long as they all fit in a box sizer at once.

Is this on all routes? (I heard they were experimenting with this on some routes a little while back).

A very sensible change... means people can get their books/laptops out of their carry-on before boarding rather than hold everybody up while they rummage round their bags on board.

I flew BCN-LGW a few days ago and they were still pulling people out of the queue to consolidate their hand luggage.

Would be welcome to allow multiple items depending size. It's ridiculous that women need to put their handbags inside their luggage

In terms of speedy boarding? Only ever taken it up when flying EZ for business, other than that I really don't care, it's a cattle class flight in general.
