SFO-NYC - when to pull the trigger?
 

I need to fly 6 family members SFO-NYC and back at the end of Jan. I'm not familiar with that route so what is considered a "good price" in this market? A couple of days ago fares were over $300, now they are a bit over $200 - can they go even lower (excluding errors)? Every $ counts (save $20 a piece and we are over a hundred for all six!). Any possibilities for extra savings? Driving to a nearby airport?
