If it says 4x4 or similar... what will I get?
Hello all,
I need to rent a 4x4 (in CJC airport in Calama Chile). The choices on the website show a "Special Pick-Up' or "Toyota Hilux 4x4 Pick Up". When you click each option they both show a pic of the Toyota Hilux 4x4 Pick Up but have the following difference... For the Special Pick-Up the words "or similar" are added. For the Toyota Hilux 4x4 Pick Up the words drivers choice are added.
The rate for the Special Pick-Up is significantly lower (by $65 USD per day). Do you think if I book the Special Pick up or similar that I will get a 4x4 (regardless of whether I get the Hilux or not?).

Book them both as long as they aren't prepay. When you get to the counter give them the reservation for the "Special Pick-Up" first and ask "That's a 4x4 right?" If it is, run with it. If it isn't, apologize for not cancelling the first reservation and give them the 4x4 reservation.

that is a great idea! however, my rental date already passed. it turns out it was a 4x4 for the "or similar" reservation.
