Is this a good rate for PWM/LGA?
 

I have a rate (total) of $331 for 9 days in September, picking up at the Portland ME airport and returning to LaGuardia. It comes out to $36 a day, which seems insanely high to me. What say you guys?

Why does a long distance airport pickup one-way during the fall foliage season for New England at $36/day seem insanely high to you? That's an excellent rate! How much do you think it should be?

Are miles included? Even for a non-1-way trip, that's a great price. However, the general goal is to minimize the one-way portion. If you'll be hanging around PWM a while, it might be best to break it down to PWM-PWM and then a separate PWM-LGA rental.

I've even done 3 rentals instead of a single to lower the cost: AAA-AAA, AAA-BBB (1 day rental only), BBB-BBB.. just depends on how may days you'll plan to be at each spot, or if you won't be near the pickup location at all mid-trip.

Having rented a lot out of PWM I was consistently getting daily rates of $30-50. PWM, even during the off peak season, is not cheap.
