X5 or 740i?
 

This sounds riddiculous but which would be a wiser rental: a BMW X5 or 740i? I know they are quite different vehicles but I drive an SUV regularly and I kinda like the thought of getting a sedan for a couple weeks. However will the 740 be a pig on gas in comparison? Also will I feel like an old man driving it? I'm 32. It's a rental from FLL at the end of March so I just might fit in with all the old foggeys from Boca :p

where are you seeing these advertised for budget?

to answer your question the 740 will be way better on gas then the X5 and a nicer car overall, the only way the X5 might be comparable or better is if it is the diesel variety but I doubt any US agency renting that one. i am 26, frequent this area a lot and would take the 7 anyday!

I just saw it listed on Budgets fleet list, I would be interested to know what options they have on them.
